dry needling

WHAT IS IT?

Dry Needling is a targeted technique that uses thin, sterile needles to penetrate muscle tissue and release tight knots, or trigger points. Unlike acupuncture, which is based on traditional Chinese medicine, dry needling focuses on neuromuscular function and pain relief.

WHY WE LOVE IT

It provides rapid pain relief and restores muscle function by directly addressing deep-seated tension that manual therapy alone may not reach. The treatment is precise, minimally invasive, and highly effective for chronic pain and movement restrictions.

WHO IS IT FOR?

  • Those with chronic muscle tightness or trigger points

  • Individuals with nerve-related pain or dysfunction

  • Athletes or active individuals recovering from strain or injury

  • People with headaches, TMJ pain, or postural tension

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Inserting the needle into a trigger point causes a local twitch response, which resets muscle activity and reduces excessive tension. This also stimulates microcirculation, increasing blood flow to the area to promote tissue healing. Additionally, dry needling influences the nervous system, interrupting pain pathways and improving neuromuscular communication.
